ByteCubed Announces New Program to Support Innovators and Entrepreneurs in the Greater Washington D.C. Area

ByteCubed Ventures offers entrepreneurial workshops for local, innovation-focused individuals and small businesses

ARLINGTON, VA — ByteCubed today announced its newest initiative, ByteCubed Ventures, a program designed to help innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups in the Greater Washington Area identify concrete ways to grow their business. Through workshops, ByteCubed Ventures (BCV) is tapping into the local startup scene to bring their contributions to the forefront of the thriving tech community.

Drawing upon its expertise working with government-funded small businesses, BCV offers Innovator and Entrepreneur Workshops to teach participants how to progress from idea development to execution. Along with the workshops and classes, BCV participants will have access to a robust community of investors, mentors, and entrepreneurs to promote continued learning, networking, and development.

“Five years ago, ByteCubed was a two person operation working to find creative ways to make government more efficient. Today, we have a team of over 140 working across different subject areas, including increasing government access to small businesses,” said Alex Martinez, CEO of ByteCubed. “Helping small businesses succeed is in our DNA. ByteCubed Ventures allows us to leverage the lessons learned from our consulting work in government and our own growth from startup to sustainable business.”

ByteCubed Ventures will host its first Lunch with Leaders on August 29th, with featured speaker Jonathan Aberman, to discuss how to craft an effective pitch to potential investors. Aberman is founder of TandemNSI, host of the What's Working in Washington podcast, and a regular columnist for the Washington Post's Capital Business. Registration for the event is now live.

The first Innovator/Entrepreneur workshop will be held September 28th and will provide the big picture overview of opportunities for small businesses to engage with the Department of Defense (DoD). To learn more about ByteCubed Ventures, please visit ventures.bytecubed.com.
